Compare
Groups of Data
Manova
analysis is a technique for comparing
groups, based on their relationships
with a set of responses. For example, in
a manufacturing process, the groups may
be defined by the production lines used,
and the responses may be various quality
measurements of the finished product.
For this process you might want to
determine whether one of the production
lines produces higher quality products
than the others. Manova analysis is the
ideal technique to do this, because it
not only allows you to evaluate two or
more continuous responses, it allows
multiple responses to be considered
together to detect group differences.
Multivariate
Analysis Made Easy
Cornerstone’s
Manova module makes multivariate data
analysis easy. You can use the Manova
analysis module to determine whether
groups are different based on their
relationship with multiple response
variables. Simply select the variable
under consideration using
Cornerstone’s graphical user interface
and Cornerstone does the work. Results
are displayed in dynamic, interactive
graphs and tables, allowing you to
determine whether the model for your
data is a good fit. After you have
created a satisfactory model, you can
draw conclusions and improve your
process, or use the model as the basis
for further study.
Extend
Your Application
Manova’s
functionality is part of a suite of data
analysis modules. The functionality in
all of Cornerstone’s analysis modules
is accessible through the Cornerstone™
Extension Language (CEL). CEL allows you
to extend Cornerstone and to create
custom, site-specific applications.
